Ways to Use a Die-Cut Design
A round logo, a square label or an illustrated outline can all start from your artwork. These examples show some material and packing combinations.
Make the Cut Line Part of the Design
The outside edge can follow the artwork or give it a simple frame.
- Logo Outlines
A contour around a logo gives the sticker the same recognizable silhouette as the brand mark. - Illustrated Shapes
A custom outline can follow an illustration or character instead of placing it inside a rectangle. - Round and Square Designs
Simple shapes work well when the message or logo needs a clear, regular frame. - Detail at the Cut Edge
Fine points and narrow parts of a drawing need attention in the cutting file, especially when the sticker is small.
Choose Vinyl, PET or Paper
We offer all three materials for die-cut stickers. The right stock depends on the item you are labeling and the finish you want.
- Vinyl
Vinyl is available for branded stickers, promotional graphics and custom outlines. - PET
PET is a film option for logos and labels. It can be printed and cut to your chosen shape. - Paper
Paper is available for packaging labels, gift stickers and promotional designs. - The Surface Being Labeled
The adhesive contacts the outer surface, including any coating. Our material recommendation takes that surface and the intended use into account.
Color and Detail in the Printed Design
The colors and detail in your artwork guide the printing method.
- Full-Color Illustrations
Digital printing handles several colors, shading and gradients on suitable sticker materials. - Solid Brand Colors
Screen printing supports single-color and multicolor Pantone artwork. It is less suited to complex gradients. - Small Text and Fine Lines
Fine lettering and narrow gaps can become hard to distinguish when an image is reduced. We review these details at the finished sticker dimensions. - Space around the Artwork
A visible border can separate the graphic from the cut edge. Its size and color belong in the design, alongside the outline.
Choose the Finish You Want to See
Lamination covers the printed face; foil and holographic options add metallic color or shifting reflections.
- Lamination over the Print
Lamination adds a cover layer over the printed face and is chosen with the base material. - Metallic Foil
Foil gives logos, lettering or decorative areas a metallic-color effect on suitable materials. - Holographic Effects
Holographic material reflects changing colors as the viewing angle changes, making the surface part of the design. - A Finished Sample
A physical sample shows the cut outline and surface finish together. Foil and holographic reflections cannot be judged from a flat artwork file alone.
Supply Stickers for Handouts, Sets or Resale
Packaging can follow how your customers will receive the stickers.
- Individual Packs
Separate packaging works for stickers given out or sold one at a time. - Sheet Presentation
A sheet can keep related designs together when you want to distribute a set. - Branded Packaging
Private label packaging can carry your branding alongside the sticker design. - Packing Materials
Kraft paper, recycled paper and recyclable carton options can be discussed where they suit the order. Availability can affect price and timing.
Material Samples and Supporting Documents
The selected stock affects the feel of the finished sticker as well as its printed appearance.
From Printed Artwork to a Finished Shape
We print the design, add the agreed finish, die-cut the outline and remove the waste, then check the appearance, dimensions and packing.
